You advise entrepreneurs on real estate investments. Can you elaborate on that?
“In a world characterized by volatile markets and economic uncertainties, real estate offers a safe haven. A key reason to invest in real estate is that it helps you beat inflation. If you ever sell the property, it will most likely yield more than what you paid for it. Even better is to rent out the property. This way, you obtain an annually indexed cash flow that allows you to maintain the property and partially repay your loan.”
Does real estate offer more control compared to other types of investments?
“With most other investments, you're dependent on various external factors beyond your control. For instance, if you invest in company shares, your returns partly depend on the decisions made by the company's management. In contrast, with real estate, you have full control: you choose the location, select the property, negotiate the purchase price, optimize the rental price, select the tenants, and decide when to sell the property.”
